SafeSnooze™ rids mattresses from natural build-up of discarded skin cells, dust mites, germs, bacteria, viruses and allergy triggers and disinfects to a medical standard.

We currently service Sydney's North Shore.

I founded SafeSnooze™ in 2021 to help my twin boys who suffered from dust mite induced allergies.  I wanted them to thrive and not wake up tired due to breathing difficulties during the night. I wanted them to wake up without a runny nose, sneezing and puffy eyes. 

Furthermore, I was also made aware that mouth breathing can lead to various oral health problems such as tooth decay and crooked teeth.  SafeSnooze’s process has allowed me to support my family’s health and help the twins wake up better.  

I am also aware of the importance of regularly cleaning your mattress - not just to manage dust mites but also to rid your mattress of other microorganisms crawling around in and on it.  Even though we might not show allergy symptoms now, constant exposure to allergens can cause issues later in life.

The SafeSnooze treatment process:

Step 1: EXTRACT

• The process starts by giving the mattress and pillows a deep vacuum with our dedicated, double HEPA filter mattress vacuum cleaner to remove debris such as dead skin cells, dust mite fecal matter, dead dust mite bodies, asthma and allergy triggers and odour-causing bacteria from the mattress.

Step 2: DISINFECT

• This is followed by sanitising and disinfection of the mattress and pillow surfaces using our UVC germicidal light device, approved by the TGA as a registered medical device*, scientifically proven to destroy all known micro-organisms on a mattress. The device was independently tested by NATA and ARPANSA.

Step 3: CERTIFY

• After each service, you will receive a certificate confirming disinfection and recommended next appointment date. 
• We recommend that you book a SafeSnooze service every 3-4 months to rest assured that your family will sleep better, breathe better and live better.

You might ask:

• Is vacuuming, spraying or steam cleaning my mattress enough to get rid of bacteria, germs and viruses?
  • Unfortunately not! In fact, adding moisture - steam or chemical spray - creates a thriving environment that only causes micro-organisms and dust mite colonies to grow.
• Can you see a dust mite?
  • They are microscopic, and you cannot see them with your naked eye.
• Can dust mites bite?
  • No :-)  but some people are allergic to proteins in dust mite fecal matter and their cast body parts.
